Nice one Marcelo, the Lord moves in mysterious ways. I wish teams would do that a lot more to them.

The internet is funny like that, it's like it knows.......

Atletico have bought Falcao for €47M. Seriously, football has gone crazy.
€40M mate. But yeah, I agree with the original sentiment.
The €40M is up front mate, there's another €7M in add-ons. Insane.
It is insane, that's the market we're operating in.
Even more so now as we hurtle towards August the 31st.
Now that clubs know for sure that we actually have money they're going to automatically add £Xm on to the fee of any player that we bid for.
Wow, that's crazy.
That transfer is crazy. But there are loads of good players going for sane amounts, too.
Let's see. Atletico lost their best player, and turned around and spent some money to quiet the fans. This is what Pool did with Torres and Carroll. They paid a lot to calm things down immediately after a big departure, rather than allowing a crisis to brew
Wait, I think they paid more for Falcao then they got for Aguero right? Dont make sense given Aguero is much better

They sold their best player, signed the English Nicklas Bendtner for £35 million and went on to finish 6th. Irrespective of how you spin it that would be my definition of a crisis.
What position were they in when they made that signing, Klaus? It would have been a crisis for 1) a new owner 2) to sell the best player 3) and not make a big money replacement. having just replaced prior owners who were accused of ransacking the club
Could they have gotten better value if they waited til the summer? It's possible. But it was not a risk the owner could really afford
It sure wasn't the aquisition of Carroll that improved them. He played, what, five games? He basically spent the entire run on the sideline with a knee injury. It was a terrible buy any way you look at it. Luckily for Kilkenny, the success of Suarez covered up a bit of the worst transfer in the history of football.
I personally think they could have done a lot better, but Liverpool fans stopped moaning after those transfers. The owner got on the fans' side early on, and that was the most important thing. If we bought Carroll for anything more than 12 million pounds, I'd be slightly upset. Anything over 20m, and I'd beat you all up
Everton 0 QPR 1 so far.....
Chelsea looking awful at the bridge right now. Should have been 0-2 just now.
That young Everton midfielder, Ross Barkley, looks pretty tasty.
Just watching MOTD (first time in a long time) and, I agree, that Barkley kid will be a good player.
