I feel slightly more relaxed. More than anything i was worried about our first few games but Newcastle may barely be able to put out a team and Liverpool haven't settled themselves.

Just listening to this podcast on the football development programmes that have been taking place in Japan; answers some questions on where all of these quality players have suddenly started popping up from.

Tom Byer is american but some of the differences that he points to between Japan and the US can easily be applied to grassroots development in England. It's also interesting that Klinsmann has been to see what he has been doing out there as he made alot of changes during his time in charge of Germany and is a very progressive manager.

I think it's going to take him a while to settle. He's not commanding IMO. For the freekick he looked so small even though he's supposed to be 6,4.
