The new Premier League TV-deal is nearly twice as big as the last one. This means, by my very rough estimate, an increase in total revenues of about 30 % for Arsenal. That is a massive bump, and one which I seriously doubt La Liga, Serie A or the Bundesliga will be able to match. Return of the English domination?

I read that it'll work out as around £20 million more per season per club, give or take.

If they put prices up at Sky and you're a long time customer just ring up and threaten to quit. I did that and got 20 quid taken off my monthly bill.

I get mine 1/2 price at all times now anyway but I would just like to see how they plan to fund this. There's talk of them cutting back on 'secondary' sports but I suspect they'll pass the cost on to customers, perhaps through a bump in their other services.

I don't think they'll try to pass on the costs. Not with all the austerity shit thats going on, dropping your sports or movie package seems to be the first thing everyone does who's trying to cut down on their monthly bills.

The whole BT thing is a pain in the arse though because they aren't on the Sky system over here. Maybe we'll get more games on Irish TV.

How much do you guys pay for Sky Sports in Britain? They don't even show every match, do they? I'd be really annoyed if I paid a significant monthly bill and I still couldn't see a large portion of the matches and was reduced to looking for questionable streams in random languages.

I get every single PL game plus every single CL game for about 17 pounds a month. Not bad in my opinion.

£25 a month for Sky sports. That's after your basic package, which if you have the movie channles can be another £30 odd. Then ESPN for FA Cup, Bundesliga and assorted prem games which is another £10.

I used to pay £70 a month, but that included internet and phone line. I said I was changing to Virgin and they gave it all to me for £50.

It's about £100 for everything they have to offer and most of it is rubbish.

Yep it's gone right downhill since they banned flash gash in the television x free view. I master of the pause button back in the day

I pay roughly £100 a month for all PL matches, all CL matches, FA Cup, all Serie A matches, selected matches from Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Carling Cup.

I don't pretend to watch all of it, but I am totally willing to pay to be able to pick and choose, and a lot of it is in HD.

Wonder where the breaking point is? I'd easily give up everything but the PL and the CL. I'd be prepared to pay quite a lot for those two competitions though.

I think Skysports coverage is quality compared to what I have in my country.

Then again, I pay around 15p for all sports coverage. includes all BPL matches, UCL and some from SPL eredivise etc. + those tennis f1 other sports etc of course

Apparently he's still a brilliant player. After his last job finished in La Liga some of the players moaned in the press that he used to embarrass them with his ability in training. Haha.
