They seem to be falling back in to the pack. A few weeks ago, as we were mucking about, it was hard to imagine us taking 6 points from Liverpool - Spurs and thus getting to within 4 points of them. The United-Spurs results was a given - as unlike us, United don't mess with tradition - so I expected we'd be on par, or 3 points better rather than 6 points better off than them. It's a massive turnaround, one which I hope motivates our players to keep winning and gun for 3rd. The difference between 3rd and 4th could be massive in terms of our transfer business early in the summer.
As for Spurs being great. Hard to hail them now. They still have a better defense than us, but conceding 8 straight goals against your rivals over your last 2 games does not speak to defensive solidity. I'd like us to beat Newcastle next week, but after that it would be exceptional if the Geordies could rise to 4th behind our 3rd.
