It is obvious that Abramovitch wants the sort of change that Villas - Boas is trying to achieve; attractive football, possession based, rejuvenated squad.
I think the reasonable position would be that AVB should continue. A new manager, even Guardiola as the article speaks of, would need to revamp that squad quite a lot to fit the kind of football Abramovitch seems to favor. No guarantee of a better result.
