The forwards were ineffective on the day Rex. That's not he two/three guys' fault in midfield.
I think your looking at it from the wrong side, they weren't anything special but it was a difficult game for a lot of reasons.
Our whole front 6 were pretty crap most of the game. Special mention to Walcott here who stood out with exceptional crapness. I know there are reasons for a lot of it, but still, our midfield was pretty crap.
