I'd love to think Newcastle could drag themselves back into this but no Tiote, no Kabaye, no Dowd and they've already been denied a penalty.

Why do you guys want Newcastle to win? We are unlikely to catch the top 3. A Newcastle loss is the best result for us. Let's get the prize and go into the summer with the hope of getting Hazard (although we will most likely get Rodallega and let Robin go).

I know. As much as I dislike Spurs, I'm more interested in our self-preservation. Today's results are excellent for us. The boys can wake up tomorrow morning and see that they are in the Top 4 again. That's better than waking up to find you're in 5th but closer to Spurs. Being close to Spurs will really only matter to me once we have secured 4th

I've watched enough of the Premier League to know that we are much closer in quality to Chelsea and Liverpool than we are to Spurs this season. Catching Spurs is a pipe dream. The focus should be on leaving Chelsea, Pool and Newcastle. Do not worry. We will go past Spurs again when Harry leaves (assuming they don't bring in Capello, Mourinho or other decent coach).

Newcastle are not going to finish fourth anyway.

This isn't Harry's first season in charge of Spurs and for the first time we are staring at the spectre of finishing behind them. He deserves credit but he isn't someone to be afraid of. We will finish above them again, irrespective of whether that tosser is in charge.

Our current predicament is a result of our failure in the transfer window not them having a superior manager of sorts.
