I thought Carroll ate Dawson and King for breakfast in terms of winning the aerial ball and generally holding the ball up, Liverpool were just lacking the quality to take advantage of that. Dawson and King also were poor with their marking at set-pieces, Carroll got free nearly every time the ball came in.
Don't let the bias blind you.
No bias. Carroll won everything he went for tonight, Liverpool's attack was just severely lacking in quality.
Watch Ledley King and Dawson on set-pieces, shocking doesn't cover it on a good number of occasions. Song-like marking over and over again.
Freidel was very decent and solid for the most part - as he usually is. Also thought Saha did more in his 10 minutes than Adebayor did in his 80 minutes.
We'll see how Dawson and King fare against Rooney and co in a fortnight's time, or against van Persie and....Well just van Persie but you get the point - I'll put money on it not ending well for them.
