if Spurs lose tomorrow, 9 points to catch them in 14 games is still doable, obviously, I'd felt better if Jack had been playing those games.

Welbeck is expert at getting penalties awarded.
Just seen them again, he knows how to draw those fouls.

Webb was in a terrible position to make that call. From that angle, I think it looked a penalty as well.

Let's not forget that Chelsea benefited from two own goals, 3-0 flattered them.

I appreciate that's not a very convincing argument for it not being a penalty.

I thought they'd have faded away by now but they are experiencing some kind of resurgence.

It's up to us to get a winning streak together to keep the pressure on and hopefully put some daylight between us Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea.

At this stage I've no instinct one way or the other as regards what will happen.
I'm hoping that Chamberlain's arrival on the scene plus Sagna's return will be enough to make a difference in the coming weeks.

Newcastle have a better team than Liverpool and will probably finish 6th. They won't finish ahead of us or Chelsea though.

It's good to see Newcastle getting it right after being run the wrong way for so long though. They made three absolutely brilliant signings in the summer when they aquired Ba, Cabaye and Santon for very little money. The players they kept from last season have stepped up a level too. Tiote has turned into one of the best midfielders in the league and Krul is the keeper Ferguson should have thrown all his money on instead of De Gea. They got rid of all the assholes when they sold Barton, Nolan and Carroll too which made them a lot more likeable.
