Yeah, it would have been an absurd bit of skill if deliberate - it's a bit like that Burrows goal for Glentoran last year in the Irish league.

It was like the discovery of the X-Ray, because it was something so unique and unusual that never happened before people called it X because words didn't exist to explain it.
We should call it the B-goal or something.

Completely agree Burnsy, I'm not a spiritual man but for a few seconds I glimpsed the infinite, and I'd imagine that it was as close to a religious experience as I'll get.
Any dumb bastard (I've done it myself) can catch a ball right and dip and swerve it past a keeper from miles out, or as you're dribbling see a space open up for you, but what Bergy did was inexplicable- not logical train of thought could lead you to rationalise it.

A half played at that level, eleven against eleven, could be the most mesmerising and beautiful work of art created by humanity.

Can you imagine what the game would look like if Dabizas was at Bergkamp's level? :o
