Ridiculous decision to fine Blackpool for fielding a "weakened team" IMO. When you have the pick a 25 man squad from which to select your team at the start of the season, surely you are entitled to select any player you have named in your season squad aren't you? Who are the FA to tell a club "you can't pick those players, they aren't as good as others?"
Whole point of a squad is that you're able to rotate and are not limited to just 11 isn't it? The FA may aswell tell everyone "this is your team and you can only pick someone else if there's an injury."
Also, how is it different to us making 8 changes at Wigan? Given the players who are regularly picked, it was clearly a "weakened team" and not our first choice 11.
