Even if that interview means anything, yes that Fabregas. Just because I don't think he'll sleep with everything with a pulse doesn't mean I think he's a nun. Like you said, he'd have stayed at Barcelona otherwise.

Yeah, I'm not suggesting blanket cynicism, just a general caution. United wouldn't be bidding for Cesc if they thought there was no chance of getting him so the perspective that he's "our boy what done good" isn't the only one out there.

I agree. When people talk about Wilshere going to play for United or whoever I find it infuriating. Cesc has shown how little respect he has for Arsenal though so its naive to think he wouldn't go elsewhere in England if he gets a good offer.

Think he's slimy and calculating. There is obviously some fire behind the United rumor smoke. If they haven't had some sort of encouragement they wouldn't continue coming at him. Cesc is very PR savvy. He would never say anything publicly to damage his image with fans or his club. But make no mistake, Cesc is only concerned about what is good for Cesc. Thinking he has some sense of loyalty to Arsenal is hilarious and delusional.

I'm increasingly convinced he will go to United. Even moreso than Dules. 99.5% today

Still can't see him going united. Couldn't have seen it last year either but at least they had ferguson then; there's not much pull for guys like Cesc this year.

I sort of assumed the public nature of the bids was supposed to be a bit of a head game, change things up a bit for Cesc. Could imagine it puts slightly more pressure on him to acknowledge he's in a fight for a place at Barcelona.

After losing Thiago, Cesc's importance to the squad has certainly increased. It would be truly short-sighted of a manager to let go of a home-grown player who is loyal and world class - especially with Xavi aging.

Yeah, Barcelona even with Xavi seem short on midfield options. It will be quite surprising if they let go of Fabregas.
