Fabregas to be put up for sale?

Whenever Fabregas' future used to be in question from summer '07 onwards, there would straight away be a statement saying he will stay. The speculation surrounding a move to Man Utd (and perhaps ourselves) has been going for a while now.

Personally I feel if he moves back here, he will only move to Arsenal. But there will be options to move to another league (Italy or Germany) if he wants. I think his first preference would be to stay at Barcelona as long as he'll be a guaranteed starter next season (for most of the big games...not just so he can rack up hat-tricks against the equivalent of Reading in league fixtures).

I think for Cesc next season it is important for him to be a starter. He will be 27 and in his prime in the next world cup in 2014 so this is his best opportunity to be integral for Spain. At 31 in 2018 he will be on the decline. So for him playing regularly means a lot.

Fabregas will only move somewhere he thinks will bring him more titles.
I don't believe for a second that he'd have pined for Barca and rediscovered his DNA if they'd been on an eight year long trophy drought and we'd been winning all around us.
I don't believe now that he'll return here to battle year in year out for CL football, unless Wenger is intending on showing serious intent and makes some other massive signings.
Don't think signing Sanogo and Grenier is going to convince Cesc that we're on the up.

Agree about his ambition but if the reports are true about our 50% clause then it means Barca will have to take a big hit to move him on which I don't think they would fancy after Ibra and the Ukranian chap. It complicates all the moves except one to Arsenal.
I think he will stay put and fight for his place.

He is moving in his prime but there he will hardly be in a decline at 31. He has enough tools to be useful even at 35.

Not saying that. Thiago is simply a case of availability and money whereas Cesc's situation is much more complicated involving multiple issues.

True. As Cazorla and Jack would be ahead of him and he cannot do the Arteta role.
However i would still take him as i think Jack runs the risk of being over played.
