I just can't see him going to Liverpool for a number of reasons. I'm usually negative but to me this looks straight forward enough so long as City stay away.

City has a transfer restriction at £49m, and are forbidden to increase their wage bill from their breach of FFP. They'd be mad to spend money on a wide forward, and having already committed £140k a week on Sagna and who knows on Fernando in fee and wages they'd have to sell someone top class.

He's not signing for Liverpool, no chance. Lallana is as good as it gets for them, that's their level right now.

Im assuming Can, Lallana, Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson and Allen are vying for those 3 midfield spots

Liverpool have Lambert, Sturridge, Coutinho, Sterling all for those roles up-front not to mention potential discards like Aspas, Borini.

Where do they fit in Sanchez is beyond me?

Arsenal have tabled a £32 million bid for Alexis Sanchez as Arsene Wenger prepares a charm offensive to land the Chile World Cup star ahead of rivals Liverpool, Goal can reveal.

The Gunners boss will meet Sanchez's agent in Brazil this week to convince the forward that he should move to the Londoners ahead of the other clubs competing for his signature.

Liverpool are set to request Sanchez as part of a possible part-exchange deal that could take Luis Suarez to Barcelona, while Manchester United and Juventus also have a strong interest in signing the Chilean.

Goal revealed last Saturday that Arsenal were preparing a bid that matched the Catalan club's £32m valuation of Sanchez after making him their No.1 forward target for this window.

The Gunners have now made their move and are confident the transfer fee and structure of payments they have proposed to Barca will be accepted by the Spanish giants.
