Guillem Balague (che?), who claims to have spoken to Fabregas, told Sky Sports News
"He is surprised by the rumours that are so strong in England. The club has definitely told me this evening that they have got no intention whatsoever of selling him. "His buyout clause, in case anybody is interested, is €200million (£171m), which is a little bit expensive. In any case it is a deterrent for people to come and try to poach him away. "If anything was going to happen it would be in the future, maybe next year, who knows, but what seems certain is that both the club and himself have decided he will stay at Barcelona for at least one more season."

Whats really funny is that despite what all peoples logical faculties tell them they still want to believe that we'll sign someone of note. The parallel's with blind religious faith are clear.
Not like we signed any players "of note" in the last two summers afterall...
"Of note" is about the same as "world class" or "Arsenal quality": rhetoric not information.
I consider Cazorla of note. Probably the best signing in recent years. Better than Ade, Walcott, Diaby, Chamakh,Kos,Verms,Pod,Mert,Art etc. I think he passes Arshavin too because he looks to be fitter and more of a long term option.
If you sign Cazorla and Podolski in one window, nobody can rightly say that you have failed to make an impact in the transfer window. Maybe they aren't the players that one wanted but they are 'names'.
Last summer's transfer window was marred not by the incoming players, but by the outgoing transfers of RVP and Nasri. It created the feelings of "one step forward, two steps back" among the fans.
Well we don't sign superstars we sign sicknotes cheapo's and freebies and try to make them into stars. But that doesn't stop the Jovetic Rooney Villa and (laughably) Lewandowski ie players of note threads. If you want "information" Burnsy read these threads.
Therefore people have an almost religious belief that we'll sign these players, and you know what say about religion.
It'll be BAU - 1-2 decent players, nobody out of the 'top drawer', and probably a couple, likely from Ligue 1, that spend 2-3 years frozen out & completely un-sellable.
Maybe you should read those threads Biggus, because clearly you have missed the part where 95% of people think we'll sign nobody. That and animated gifs pretty much makes up every thread in this sub-section.

Imma let you finish, but Nasri didn't leave last summer.
Though last summer was somewhat marred by watching Nasri lift the Premiership then sprout on about it in the news.
Last summer's transfer window was marred (as every summer is) by Wenger not resigning.

Oh plu-eze Capi, they are all pointless wish lists.
Anyone with any brains knows exactly where the priorities of this present regime lay.
