I actually liked the last Rocky film a lot too. The one that came a few years ago. Best thing he has made since the 80s probably. I thought it was a very profound film about aging and coming to terms with the hard facts of life. Clearly made because Syallone felt he had a few spare coins to chip in with on the subject.

Saw Django on Saturday night. Enjoyed it, and all the central performances were great imo- particularly Mr Waltz, but not as good as Inglorious Basterds for me. And definitely about half hour too long- though i was in the minority with that particular view..

Django was brilliant, but I was maybe too tired to appreciate it properly. Thought DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson stole it. Only complaint was that all the characters giving Tarantino monologues took me out of the setting... shouldn't have expected anything else tbf. Oh, there was QT's Australian accent as well! 😆 When did he get so fat?

Django was a million time better than Gangster Squad, only thing I know about Les Mis is my housemate came home with her makeup all over her face from crying through it...

Haha! I once woke up in a house directly opposite, completely unaware where I was. Stumbled across there to see Borat The Movie, and walked the 5 miles home. Think it was the only time I ventured to that side of Nottingham.

That Cine Deluxe in Derby is lovely, along with the one in Leicester.

It has, great shame. Broadway, across the road, is comfortably the best cinema in Notts.

I've heard so many people rave about Broadway, been meaning to get there for ages. It's just hard when I've got the Savoy 5 minutes from my house (spoken as a lazy student bum - currently complete with revision beard).

Never seen a film at Broadway, but I've sat outside in the summer with a beer. Very nice. Stumble just across the street to The Brew Dog.

Criminal, GF. You really should get down there. Think if I had to list 10 things I miss about Nottingham, it would be in there. Reminded me that I may have to pay it an inevitable hungover visit in a couple of weeks myself.

Yeah, the cafe/bar is also very nice. Probably just falls second to The Electric in Birmingham as my favourite cinema.
