Just seen the new Mario game on the Wii U, fuck me I'm tempted to buy just for that! Was always a Nintendo man up until recently, the games just capture the imagination more than any Playstation or XBOX game as far as I'm concerned.

What's Zelda like these days?

Skyward Sword was a split decision. A link between worlds, releasing tomorrow on 3ds is unanimously (or close to) being reviewed as the best Zelda since a link to the past, which pretty much means it is the best Zelda of all time.

Planning on spending the whole of xmas day playing it. Haven't missed a game yet, nothing compares to a flagship Mario title.

Fuck it, I'm gonna buy one. Can't be missing out on Mario, Mario Kart & Zelda again. Had been toying with the idea of getting the XBOX and PS4 but I'll cancel the XBOX order I think.

Now I need to find me a good deal....

Think you can get it with mario and luigi 2d for £220 at Game and on Amazon, although that may be a Mario overload if you plan to get 3Dworld as well.

My main recommendation would be the wonderful 101, but that's about as niche as it gets, so I'm not sure. Pikmin 3 is class and Windwaker HD is a quality remake. You can also get ZombiU for around a tenner now and it's a heavily flawed but good game.

You'll probably want a wii-mote and nunchuk too for multiplayer. I had all of that from my wii so it didn't bother me but this system is peripheral city.

Links Awakening on the Gameboy was great in my opinion. The ones I've played since have been a bit too hardcore (like Ocarnia of time on the N64) and don't really have the patience for it. Not played any of the recent ones, GC was my last Nintendo console after years of loyalty (plus a megadrive).

Yeah saw that deal on HDUK after posting but looks like it has finished, might wait a few days to see if it pops up again, really enjoyed Windwaker on my Gamecube so might buy that again.

Gonna be an expensive few months ahead for me....

Forgot to cancel my XBOX order so I should have it later on today :/ I wonder if I should send it back or be a wanker and try to sell it for profit, that is if it will even sell at a profit.....

Do people in the UK generally queue up for these things on release day? You could probably sell it to someone in line for a nice profit.

Think I'm only milded interested in left for dead out of the launch games. I really don't see the point in getting the cross gen offerings.

Nah, most people just have amazon drop it off on release day or have paid for it and go to collect.

There aren't any motion segments in the mario games. You can play shooters with the IR pointer (which is better in my opinion) but it's purely optional. Motion is mostly for shit like Just Dance etc.

Cool, am thinking that Mario bundle might be a bit of an overkill for me so will just wait for an offer to pop up and then pounce on it!

On Amazon, you can get the nintendo land bundle with splinter cell and rayman legends for £230. Nintendo land is an almost entirely multiplayer game, but it's not too bad. Rayman legends is good if you like platformers and I haven't played splinter cell.

If you can be arsed though, CEX will give you £24 credit for Rayman and £21 for Splinter cell.

Think that's pretty good, if not a little 'fiddly'.
