Some reports peg the 360 failure rate as high as 50% for a big chunk of it's life. Not so much a bug as a disastrous engineering error. I've never owned one, so can't really say.
PS3 didn't have any major issues. PS2 had some widespread faults, though I don't remember them being software issues.
Nintendo never has any major issues and you could pretty much throw their older consoles out of the window and they would still work. Their build quality isn't what it was anymore.
As of right now, I'm not going with either new system but I am leaning towards a Xbox One, much to my own surprise. If it weren't for the shitty control pad, I'd have probably made that decision already.
