It's important to remember that EA don't give a damn about FIFA anymore, I bet they spend about one week tweaking the old system before sending it out to the world and charging 60 quid.
Eh? It's one of the best selling games, why wouldn't they give a damn about it? In recent years they've put a lot of effort into producing more content too, ultimate team, seasons mode, online clubs etc. Gameplay has vastly improved too. It's not like it's the heads of EA that make the game either, it's a development team in Canada that work on it every year and nothing else.
That being said, looks like this year they've completely neglected the current gen versions at the very least. I don't like the demo at all, actually feels far worse than FIFA 13, sluggish, slow and dull. Played 5 games between friends on the Demo and there were 2 goals in total.
Also the fact that 'Legends' on Ultimate Team and 'Global scouting' on career mode are two of the things they're boasting about tells it's own story.
But all I really care about is the gameplay, hopefully they'll tweak it a bit more after the demo.
GTA V on the other hand, rocks.
