Yeah, it's got a slimline optical drive and a cardreader. Don't use the former much, the latter is handy for photos though.

Very decent machine but to be honest I'm not sure I'd buy another. It'd be worth test-driving one of the R830s though. Haven't checked if they have backlit keyboards but that's something I miss from the Dell E6400 I use at work.

Had a look at those online but didn't see any in-store yesterday. Would really like to try the envy 15 but if this Asus doesn't work, I think I may just waste some money on a Vaio Z series.

I still have it on my list of games to play after graduation in a month.

Another one i added is Journey for PS3. Lots are saying that it's really short but one of the best gaming experiences. I'm going to give it a try when i have the time.

Changed my mind on the PS Vita. Still haven't seen one up close or spoken to anyone who actually has one but now that my job situation is up in the air once again I don't think it would be very wise to blow that kind of money on something I don't need.

Seriously though, these poxy fixed term contracts in the public sector are not a way to live. Can't do anything but save all my money for the next time I'm unemployed at the end of the year.

Perhaps at the level when you're very experienced, have your choice of jobs, and earn a massive amount. Not straight out of Uni with no experience, graduate level salaries and no hope of career progression. Feel like I'm living my whole life in limbo. Anyway that's for another thread.

mass effect 3 - it was good except for some things. won't say what as it might spoil it for some, but those who have played it know what i mean.

Find it staggering how fast some of you guys are able to go through a game. I have played Skyrim for about a month now and I am nowhere near finishing it. Not that I mind since I love it.

Hey guys, just had my knee ligaments changed a couple of days ago so can do fuck all the next month or so. Can anyone recommend any good football managers to play? Played my last one 10 years ago, have no idea what's the best on the market at the moment.

Football mate, anterior cruciate ligament. Had problems with that before, this time it was torn so needed to get replaced by a new one. The knee looks ugly and is painful as fuck, great we have the tablets. 🙂 Don't think I'll ever want to play again, was just about to get a new job (or at least some job at all) only to lose it the other week because of that.

The FM looks pretty good, just downloading it! Thanks.
