Yeah, it's kinda funny, because Drake in the games is like Indiana Jones revamped and made more youthful to appeal to teenage boys, but it seems to me Holland is way too childlike to carry that slightly sleazy pulp action masculinity back into the movies.

The guy who does Drake's voice in the games is also pretty legendary.

Yeah Hollands a great Spiderman because of that youthful, wide eyed vibe but its way off for Nathan. And Wahlburgs a terrible choice for Sullivan too.

IIRC Wahlberg was originally cast as Nathan Drake which makes a lot more sense.

A young Wahlburg would have been an ok option maybe, although I just don't really like him in things generally.

In for some fun if you are just starting Uncharted. My favourite game series. Still need to play the spinoff with the female characters. Got it sitting in my games collection but haven't got around to playing yet.

The movie was ok. Drake and Sully were 20 years younger than in the games as it was trying to tell an origin story mixed but I suppose that could have been done as they beginning of the film as like a flashback instead. The guy who does the voice in the games made a brief cameo too.

Just finished Uncharted 2 before coming to work this morning. What a great game. You're all right - it was a lot of fun, and a great story too. @Big Willie - I'm playing the collection - is there a difference?

@Invisi - didn't know there was a spin off series - will look that up thanks.

Not a series, but one game featuring two of the female characters - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. I have it but haven't got around to playing yet. You'll know Chloe if you have just played 2 but Nadine doesn't come until 4.

Same game Asterix. Just for those who want to platinum trophy the game, there are extra challenges, one of which is finishing the game in brutal mode without changing the difficulty setting. I think the separate game version has crushung mode as the most difficult mode.

I finished crushing on Uncharted 2 in the collection but couldn't finish the 2nd or 3rd chapter on brutal so gave up. Still haven't played Uncharted 3 as a result haha cuz I don't want to move on without completing the previous haha.

Is it easy to get into Uncharted? Think I have it lying around somewhere when I bought a bunch of GameCube and PS3 games during lockdown, never played any of them.

I tried Heavy Rain because I remembered reading good things about it back in the day but couldn't get over how shit the controls were, is Uncharted similar?

Aye, fun but very short. Completed it in about 4 hours iirc. I'm still playing Civ 5 13 years after it was released ffs

It's easy enough jones, even playing in the gardest mode available at the start will not take you too long to get used to. Not sure what the graphics are like on PS3 though. Its fun enough without being too challenging like goon said under normal circumstances. I'm just a bit of a completionist and wanted that platinum trophy.

But that brutal mode is a broken mode, less being difficult more being pretty much impossible. One shot you're dead, and the opponents aim is like its laser guided

Yeah, enjoyed that. Kind of thought the story would go somewhere more interesting, but still a good time.

Just finished Uncharted 4. What a wonderful game. Great characters and fun story. The gameplay is really fun too, and the graphics are pretty impressive for a game that is several years old now. Plus it’s pretty hard not to get a little crush on Elena.

Just finished God of War: Ragnarok, and what a fucking game it was. I remember thinking the 2018 one was excellent, but this one blew it out of the water. I also love how they manage being meta and anachronistic without it being overbearing.

Anyone here play the age of empires? I recently started playing again after a long long time and looks like the game really picked up.

mohan I love what they've done with it. The new civs are fantastic, both for game play as well as historical and thematic elements.
