Haven't played it but all of the feedback seems to be positive. Doom runs well on the switch and wolfenstein 2 has been announced so I reckon it should run fine.

Reviews say its slightly better looking than the PS3/Xbone version, obviously not as good as the current gen from Sony and MS. Everything else is pretty much the exact same AFAIK.

With the games coming out on PS4 this coming year like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us 2, God of War and possibly Death Stranding it shows that PS4 is still very much relevant.

PS4 is killing it on the exclusives at the moment. Horizon, Nier Automata, Persona 5, Uncharted 4, Last of Us, Bloodborne, Nioh, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Spiderman, Death Stranding, Days Gone, etc

Not gonna lie - I have literally no interest in death stranding and God of war looks like they may have ruined the formula.

Spiderman though - can't wait.

The Wii-u started this trend and the Switch has almost entirely relegated my PS4 to a paperweight, because it has changed my play style.

I don't have the Switch, only Wii U, but when I'm home and have free time I'm also in front of the TV that nobody else uses, so I were to have a Switch, every time I would feel like gaming the TV would be available right in front of me. That's part of why the portable part isn't a reason for me to buy one. Possible reasons would be The Legend of Zelda, Odyssey and Mario Kart.

Death Stranding looks really weird, I don't get what it's about and I'm worried that Kojima's wildest fantasy isn't necessarily a player friendly game, but I'll give it a chance if the reviews are great.

Spider-Man looks like an Arkham game only with Spider-Man, which I'm very okay with.

God of War looks like they may have fixed the formula. Was getting stale by Ascension, and it's time they renewed the series.

I've never been into God of War. I've still no idea what Death Stranding is about. Its from Kojima and has Norman Reedus in the water.

I enjoyed God of war 1 and 2 even though it's basically a mindless button smasher. I'm turned off by yet another 'cinematic experience'.

Having waited until now, I would wait a few months if I were you. Can't really see a price cut anytime soon, but hopefully Nintendo will clarify a few of the issues still surrounding it, like upgraded account system etc.

Was about to lose all interest in FUT, sold all my players and have around 350k in the bank, contemplating burning through it on drafts etc. Then I packed 91 rated Yashin icon this morning, interest back up 😆

I haven't played FUT in months, was also considering selling all my players and seeing what I could get then. Maybe just a shit squad with one massive star. FIFA is kind of shit this year though.

It’s all a little samey. They’ve made it a little too difficult to play good football for the casual gamer, good for realism maybe but sucks some of the fun out of it. I fired up the old Forza 5 at the request of the little one and found myself enjoying it much more than FIFA.

This is the worst FIFA in many years. It was good at release, but they've patched it worse and worse. I remember r/fifa loved the demo, me included, and now it's not close to the same game. Even the different kinds of crosses they advertised so much has been changed into the same old. I can enjoy it offline against friends, but there's too much bullshit and randomizing going on online.

I sold all my players for around 2 million coins when I stopped playing a couple of months ago, and I'm considering to sell them to one of those coin buying websites for $180.

So true, I remember thinking it's the best FIFA in a long time at release. Playing it now feels like so much hard work. The biggest thing that I think has changed is the passing, I loved it at release but it feels sluggish and inconsistent as hell now and that's despite playing with elite players.

They responded too quickly to complaints that scoring was too easy. They needed to give people time to learn to defend.

Anyone's played the Monster Hunter games? The new one is getting great reviews, but I don't really get what it's about, other than what's obvious from the name.

I played one of the Final Fantasy games many years ago, but I guess that's about it.

Fair play.

So basically, in Monster Hunter you have a village that you collect quests from. Those quests involve killing or trapping monsters to 'mine' specific materials - those materials either fulfil the task in hand or you use them to improve your weapons and armour to the point that you are able to eventually kill the monster that has the resources from your quest overview. As you progress, your hunter rank increases, so that you can access higher level quests.
