I assume that's the case too. Like I said in the other thread, Wenger should (and probably did) promise him the FA cup and the Carling cup in exchange for Szczesny committing his long-term future to the club. We'll see I guess, but unless he's planning to send Szczesny on loan in january I'm pretty sure he'll start the third round of the FA Cup.
Come think of it, january could be a crucial month for Snes at Arsenal. There are four games within the span of three weeks that he could realistically play, provided we advance to the semi-final of Carling cup:
08 Sat The FA Cup N Third Round
12 Wed Carling Cup N Semi-Final 1L
26 Wed Carling Cup N Semi-Final 2L
29 Sat The FA Cup N Fourth Round
There will be a FA cup game in february too along with the Carling cup final, should we reach it. I think the prospect of playing those games will benefit him more than going on loan to some Championship club. If he does well it might secure a full year on loan to some lower table Premier League club instead next season. Which is the level he should be aiming at, really.
