By the way, a mate of mine from uni says he used to go school with JET and that he never used to be all that. Claims that he's surprised he plays for Arsenal as all he used to be was a big lad who used to bully players but not a particularly good footballer compared to others in the school who many used to get picked ahead of him. He was shocked when I showed him that goal he scored against Everton reserves.

I'm from the east end but to be honest most of it is pretty simple if you can read 'txt' speak which is more unique to youth than east end.

Same as anything else really; there are plenty of people who sail through GCSE's, A-levels etc. but never make anything of themselves.

I used to play a bit with some people who are now semi-pro, and I always thought they were pretty bloody good. Then again, I'm pretty shit...

I can confidently say that Ashley Cole and Ledley King were immense even when they were in primary school. Jlloyd Samuel was pretty bloody amazing too.

I'm younger and went to secondary outside of the borough so never played school football with or against him but in the youth league he used to score 100 goals or more a season for Puma.

Used to see Joe Cole at Market Road near Canteloes in Camden back in the day. The guy had the most outrageous skills I'd ever seen in person. Too bad Mourinho and the English national team had to take all the skill out of his game.
