When you don't have strikers playing wide, you can use the whole pitch and stretch the play to open the gaps that entice the runs. This is a big problem for our usual first eleven.

No problem with Giroud wanting the penalty. I like striker who are just desperate for every chance to get another goal.

The whistle went IMMEDIATELY. Santi may have rolled about, but that did not influence the ref.

My post was aimed that some guys immediately rebuking Santi like he committed a crime. Which he did not.

Rolling around holding your leg without contact is cheating.
The throwing himself on the floor cerainly did influence the ref.

Cheating is what it is; no need to be all petty about it. Cazorla cheated today, we can just accept it and move on.

He'd be a great option at a club like ours behind a top choice striker. He's quick, he a decent finisher, he drops deep and gets involved when needed and he's the sort of lad who can be left out and will then work really hard when he gets his chance. I love him for Ireland.

Yeah, I've agreed with most things you've said about it Clarence. Best is yet to come from Podolski though, but he's definitely not a 'real' winger.
