I also still think things will get better and better with every game Cazorla, Wilshere and Arteta play together.
That is true, and one aspect of this, which relates to the discussion here, is Jack's mental fortitude. if these guys are shitting themselves, shaking with a 2 goal lead against an inferior 10 man team, he has to be the exception, and thus my big hope for improvement in that regard.
We've not seen him for a long time, but watching him play brings back some of the less obvious traits which were already there 2 years ago: he knows how to be behind the moves without taking over, he knows what to do to keep it driving. For some the story of the game was the sending off, and we'd have gone nowhere without it. I don't think that's the whole story.
Though Caz and Theo were the best performers, it's Jack who was, in my mind, the important factor for the change. His turn with the ball (back flick to self and thundering forward) was the signal to all of where were headed and how we do it. His body language when Poldi scored (Y va pointed at it), and his tussle with the chimp - he was not ready to give an inch yesterday. Add to it his control, which we were badly missing, and his form gradually picking up, and you see why this is a major source of hope (in addition to Ricky's general point).
As he gets better, he'll also have a positive effect on Art, as he can actually hold on to the ball, and Art doesn't need to feel it's either him or we concede possession. He'll also give him more options, and perhaps even a rest (if I trust anyone to do what Art does ATM it is Jack, though obviously we need him doing other things).
