Some really frustrating elements to our play though. Should've been far more comfortable, and we got out of jail with the red card.

We must hope from now on that each time we host the NLD, Adebayor plays for them (and scores). We know the result of this.

His feet aren't quick enough though. But yeah he's scoring now which was my main problem with him (that he wasn't scoring).

Don't overestimate it either. Most games are much closer wham a team 1 up lose a player.

I'm not buying that Lagos. They lost a striker in a 4 4 2. They did not need to reorganize. Maybe they were hurt psychologically, but they should not have shipped 5

Really chuffed about 5 goals and Cazorla firing on all cylinders. Suddenly I'm a bit more optimistic about this season. Hammering Spurs will do wonders for your self esteem.

Yes, plenty of teams go on to record hard fought wins and draws even after going down to 10 men. Tottenham were a goal up when Adebayor was sent off, they could have very easily frustrated us and made that a close fought game.

Having said that, fair play to AvB for going with two up top and three at the back. Took balls. Stupid idea in hindsight though.

except they went 3 at the back and kept 2 up front making it easier for us. It's a welcome victory but considering the tone of the 1st 20 minutes, I'm not not as excited as most of you for future games. I did like the fact that Giroud would have gained some confidence from this though.

We scored three goals before they went with three defenders though.

btw I thinkg Szcezny should have done better with the first goal, bit slow to get to it imo

It didn't work, but I'm impressed that Villas Boas had the bottle to go 3-4-2 at half time. Not saying it was the right move, but it was gutsy

Cazorla and Giroud looked brilliant next to eachother when they celebrated the 4th goal:

I think he had almost no choice, Defoe was completely invisible playing on his own and Spurs don't have any other strikers.
