Funny thing. I used to read the BBC football gossip pages everyday. I stopped at the beginning of last season. Transfer dreams are for fans at other clubs. We can dream about Rosicky or Diaby recuperating.

A lot of owners say stuff like that. Montpellier said they wanted 50m for Giroud and we signed him for 9m.

If we really wanted Cavani, we could get him.

In order to sign Cavani we need to pay 30mil+ pounds and _150k/week in wages so yeah its that unlikely. Good to see players of his caliber would still consider joining us though.

Btw Giroud had a 10mil euros buyout clause in his contract or he would have been more expensive. Cavanis buyout clause is 63mil euros.

And we CAN afford him. Spanish speakers, London living, CL football. It could happen.

But of course it won't. We don't have the ambition.

Can't see Wenger signing a pure forward now anyway, especially if Giroud keeps this run going, although we clearly need one.

Best we can hope for I think is another wide forward, and even then only if Theo is sold.
