I'm a fan of Coutinho but he's yet another project. Ideally we'd get rid of Diaby and Rosicky and pick someone like Coutinho up as squad bolster, along with a readymade starting player.

Quality-wise no, number-wise, we could be a bit short maybe. Gervinho is not here at the moment. We have Walcott, who can play through the middle and then of course Giroud.

You do not find them in the street, the strikers that can play for us and strengthen our team. It’s difficult in January.

Only Wenger could come out of a January where we've won 3 of 7 games so far - on of the wins coming against a midtable Championship team - and feel vindicated in his views about the inherent quality in the team.

Makes me rage when I see Gervinho described as a striker. Makes me rage when I see Gervinho described as anything other than a donkey for that matter.

Looks like he actually thinks we need another striker. The whole 'quality but not numbers' bit is just him trying to publicly back Giroud.
