Well, to begin with I think we are lacking creativity on the wings, and that out-and-out pace is sometimes less effective than someone who can dribble well and combine with the CMs and a FB to make space for the strikers. I think he can still play as a trequartista, but coming from wide rather than in the hole.
I don't think Caz is cut out for a true central playmaker, or No. 10, because firstly I don't think the position is even appropriate for this squad, and secondly that position requires great vision coupled with either unbelievable tekkers, dynamism and unpredictability, or power and workrate. Don't think Caz has anything but the vision part, and his other traits (combination play, close control) are more suited to creative wing play. He is good with both feet, but that just gives him the option to cut in and shoot or put in a cross.
