Seriously, Jovetic is not the kind of player who'll raise our level. He's inconsistent, lacks end product and shuns away from every physical duel. Don't get me wrong, I think the lad is brilliant and with a bit of work he'll be world-class within two-three seasons. But he's still very much a project player and there are serious question marks about whether he's made for Premier League at all. Replacing Giroud with him would be a great way to cement a finish outside the top four.

Scored 14 in 29 app last season and is currently on 5 goals in 8 matches. So that's better than 1 in 2 for the past 2 seasons, as a 2nd striker, and u say he lacks an end product?

He'll be way out of our league if/when he becomes any better than he's currently. Now is the right time to buy him.

He doesn't play as a second striker. He's their main man. He's been shifted wide lately because a 35-year-old Toni is a better centreforward and hasn't scored since. Went missing for a fairly long spell last season too but it's understandable since it was his first season back from injury.

Anyway, I'm not saying we shouldn't buy him. I'm saying he'll be another project. He's a class player and I'd be delighted to have him. Just don't expect him to come and turn our season around.

I'm pretty sure I saw him play off Toni against Cagliari not so long ago(and scored by the way), and against Lazio Lljalic played off him. Fio play use a 3-5-2 so I don't see how they can use him on the wings.

I get what u are saying about him being another project, but we won't afford him when reaches his peak and he's already a very good player who could be a top match winner for us IMO.

He'd provide better competition for the number 1 spot than Fabianski and Mannone. We actually need another goal keeper. Not a top priority of mine however.

Agree with all of that, except that I think Reina is still a better goal keeper than Mannone and Fabianski. Based on that alone I would think of him as an upgrade for the squad.
However, goal keeper and CB are at the bottom of where I think we should strengthen this squad.

I definitely agree we could do with a backup keeper - mannone's been mostly a disaster, so it's not a bad idea.
