A DM would be good. We do need to be careful there though. Although Arteta isn't the hardman we'd like to see taking down opposition 10s he does give us a phenomenal service in terms of distribution from low. A hard man, for me, would be taking Jack's position, not Arteta's. Jack's too good to leave on the bench, so do you push him up into the 10 and send Cazorla into Walcott's position? How do you guys see a team with a hard man?

You are right Claudius and we are ok when we are controlling the midfield.
We could however do with a Yaya Toure type player when playing against teams better/stronger/faster than us in midfield for example Chelsea, Man U, Schalke
Arteta, Jack and Santi just do not have the physical capability to recover once they are beaten for pace.
And Tim, like you, i agree we clearly do not want Hero-Song!

Jamie Sanderson of Metro wrote yesterday linking us with Dieumerci Mbokani of Anderlecht. JS runs the younggunners blog and is known to have contacts with some youth coaches at AFC. Anyone have any opinion on this Mbokani guy?

i remember when i first started reading A-M, the rumour mill was pretty exciting. we had a great team and it wasn't ridiculous to think that maybe we could get robinho or xabi alonso.

i guess we dodged one bullet - whatever happened to robinho, anyway? hardly heard of him since he went to milan.
