I expect Theo to leave and be replaced by someone underwhelming. That is generally how we roll.
My bet is that we sign Remy Cabella, Olly tells how awesome he is for three months, then gives up on him by April and decides he's another dud.
We could do worse than Cabella to bolster the squad to be fair. I'd rather we tried for Isco again instead though. There's magic in that lad. I think it's the perfect time to restock on spaniards too. Arteta, Cazorla and Miquel would help him adapt to London.

Any links to him?
Seen we were linked to zaha and hatem Ben arfa today
Anyway, best rumour of the week so far - Daily Star are linking us to Hatem Ben Arfa as a replacement for Theo Walcott in january: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/279651/?
Edit: Dules managed to sneak a post in before me.

Don't think so. Haven't seen any at least. We were heavily linked in the summer though. I have a suspicion that we were genuinely interested too. He strikes me as a player that Wenger would love.
Defo agree it's the right time to target players in Spain given the financial circumstances.
Also thinking about those with under a year to run on their contract; we might aswell just bid big on them. When I say big, I mean say 15 m for llorente or such like. Thats still much less than their value if hey had two plus years to go
There will be clubs out there that will offer Llorente way better wages than we will/would.
On the plus side - any striker worth his salt will take a look at our striker options and realize he wouldn't be riding the pine here.
We badly need a top forward. Unless Giroud gets much better real quick.
Ben Arfa and Ba(or any other top/proven striker) in January would make me very happy.
How has Ben Arfa done for Newcastle this season?
He's been their best player. Closely followed by Ba.
He's quite a player, really.
Judging by the numbers (I literally haven't seen a second of him), he's not got much in the way of end product so far. He's played better than a couple of goals and one assist in nine games would suggest?
My reservation with him is that when he's on a hot streak he's brilliant, but when he's not he's a waste of space. Just not enough consistency in his game.
I'd still be extremely excited if we signed him though. Has undoubted quality.
Ricky, check out his performance against Tottenham on the opening day.
He's much more than just about goals/assists. He's to Newcastle what Cazorla is to us.
Him alongside Cazorla and Wilshere would make us much harder to stop. A dream signing for me.
Unfortunately, I can't see Newcastle letting him go for as little as £25m. Especially when they look likely to lose Ba as well.
He started off brilliantly but has stagnated a little bit. He's still one of the key players though. The thing is that Newcastle have shifted shape a lot from what I can tell. They seem to suffer a lot when Coloccini is out. Tioté has been suspended in several games and Cabaye looks lired. The strikers have only recently found some form too. As the team become more static they rely increasingly on Ben Arfa to tick which is the wrong setup for him. Give him the kind of support that, say, Gervinho enjoys at Arsenal and he'd score 10-12 league goals per season though. Easily.
