@ Flobs, they were indeed nothing before Abramovich, they were beggars and therefore can't be choosers.
Thats what I don't understand about our fans, we're not beggars we have a much bigger stadium capacity and worldwide fan base even after nearly a decade of failure, and our ticket prices are the highest in the world, yet many of our fellow supporters are content watching our best players leave and being replaced by cut price rejects and seeing rubbish played on the pitch, we most definitely can be choosers yet are only now raising a few murmurs of discontent.
@ GM, that was a nightmarish scenario I did conjure up at one point, could you imagine them being the noisey neighbours? :o
But it has thankfully receded.
