Surprised no one's been talking about this. For those of you out of the loop, Leeds equalized at Sheffield Wednesday, a minor pitch invasion occurred, and a fan pushed Chris Kirkland in the face:
Wednesday's manager:
They are vile animals. You talk about racism [but] the chanting, that's a form of racism
And Neil Warnock:
"I felt embarrassed to be a manager, it was an absolute disgrace. I think they should get the guy, prosecute him, and put him in prison. There's no place at all for that.
"Listen, he (Kirkland) went down like a ton of bricks, but that doesn't make a difference. There's no way he should be on the pitch doing that, I hope we can make an absolute issue of it.
Apparently seats and bottles were thrown at police, but the main topic of conversation is what's going to happen to Leeds. Do their away fans deserve a season-long ban? Was Kirkland exaggerating, or was it inevitable that a player was going to go down easy if caught off guard?
IMO Leeds should probably face an away ban for a few games regardless of how much Kirkland was acting.
