Absolutely brilliant. The best part was that the sending off clearly was the defining moment in the tie, and I think it was a very harsh red. Correct to the letter of the law of course, and I don't think there will be much debate about it outside of England, but it was still harsh IMO since Nani didn't even see Arbeloa.
Credit to Fungus. He had his team set up perfectly and despite Madrid having more of the ball Man U looked more threatening. Having Welbeck stifle Alonso was a brilliant move, and Welbeck performed his defensive task really well. He also looked dangerous in attack. IMO 2-0 was a lot more likely than Madrid equalizing. And then came the sending off which completely changed the game. Love it! 😆
Maureen acted decisively and quickly as well after the sending off. Getting Modric on within 2 minutes was sharp, and getting Pepe on right after the 2-1 was equally good.
