Might as well have one thread to cover everything. A place for us all to hang out, whether it turns out good or bad, and I suspect bad!

Let the fun begin!

I'll go first.

Chelsea confident of signing André Schürrle before tomorrow night. £20m the reported fee. Sturridge will be off on loan if it happens.

How many wide players do Chelsea feckin want? Unless they think this guy can do a job as a central striker, but I haven't heard that myself?

That's going bring Chelsea's spend up to about £100m.

Just wondering who our signing that nobody predicted is going to be this season.
There's nearly always one that comes straight out of leftfield.

Sort of convinced now that we're going to loan Essien

If we don't sign M'Vila I will expect Fairthorne to delete his twitter, naturally.

If there is no defensive mid signing altogether I will be panicking a bit.

Winger would be nice, right back quite important.

I expect something though, excluding teenagers of course.

I can imagine wenger talking to gazidis and dick law right about now.

"Saddle up men we ride at dawn."

Mirror linking us with a loan move for Sturridge. I don't buy that. I think they'd sell him to us, but can't see a loan. Even if it had an option to buy included. Would gladly take Sturridge at the club though.

i can't find a picture of dick law anywhere. i'm convinced ivan has employed his dastardly mba training and created an imaginary enemy to throw us off his scent.

Average.

If Chelsea don't want him he's not good enough for us.

Still think we'll get one midfielder, and meet Theo halfway on the money. Anything else is a great bonus.

If we loan Essien instead of signing a player it'll be fairly fucking irritating.

Should've just gasp not sold Song.

this would be the biggest indication that our transfer activity is 100% profit driven, in case it wasn't obvious enough.

Not even really profit-driven, unless you assume Song was going to decline in value for the coming season.

Essien surely wouldn't come on less than Song's wages and Song would've been worth the same next summer, so it would be an odd sequence of events.

It seems we took a punt on getting Sahin to replace Song and then cheaped out on the deal. :gah:

Suppose we may still sign M'Vila. Patience, patience.

Another striker has to be brought in. We have no back up for Giroud. Park and Bendtner seem to be off.

Our squad is too thin.

word on the grapevine is we're looking at 2 players - 1 permanent, 1 loan.

dzeko on loan, cabaye permanent

/dream

What's the point of Dzeko? We already have Giroud. Very similiar kind of players imo.

I hope we take a punt at Remy.

Chelsea wouldn't be interested in half our squad.

So happy that Spurs deals for Lloris, Willian and Moutinho is falling through at the moment. At least they are trying very hard though. Can see them overpaying to get one or two of them.

How's Essien in recent years? Never really kept track of him.

Fixed.

Why has this thread got a little FA cup beside it?
Whats the FA cup got to do with us?
