Frustrating to watch because of a lack of end product in the form of quality cutbacks, or goals.
If he could produce ten goals in a season, and two or three quality cutbacks in every game, he'd be a big asset.
I don't think it's fair to judge him for this season on two outings against Sunderland and Stoke. Against Sunderland he sparkled, even if he didn't deliver.
the moment we signed him, i wanted him sold, so i'll hold my hand up and say i'm slightly biased. but not without reason tbf.
these skittish wingers that look like they're permanently on the cusp of falling over do my head in. gervais is barely controlled chaos, he really plays like a man without a plan. as a manager who has coached wide men like pires, overmars, and ljungberg, i struggle to understand what wenger sees in him.
and his hair is somehow getting worse.
