Carzola is one of those players that you can drop into any team and he'll improve them straight away, no adjustment period required

What a huge result. We really controlled the match from start to finish, even more so in the second half. Looked good all over the pitch, and didn't really have a bad performer.

Sky gave Diaby man of the match, well you could have raffled it between any of Podolski, Cazorla, Diaby and Cazorla but it was, in all seriousness, a great team performance.

Jenko wasn't bad today, that one askew pass across the defence aside. He's quite a cautious player, doesn't offer much going forward but he's wary at the back. We currently look better organised defensively than at any time I can recall in recent years.

Tempting to have a ratings thread after such a solid all round effort. 🙂

Worried about Giroud now. Think his lack of goals has already become a 'thing'. Won't get a better chance than against Southampton in a couple of weeks, but have a feeling we'll be looking for a striker in January.

Lets wait for Giroud to get one goal and then see what happens. You can't just expect every new player to slot into the team seamlessly. It might be a simple confidence issue right now

Yeah thought Cazorla did great, early first half it looked like 'pool were trying to stifle him a bit on the ball and I wasn't sure how he'd deal with it. He just dealt with it.
And the Diaby that is so great to watch appeared today, hope he keeps it up, Burnsy can write more poetry about his scything leg scythes.

think so too. smart movement, but looks very slow. shouldn't probably be anything more than a squad option.

As long as he keeps finding chances, he'll be fine. Could go down a similar route as Adebayor, minus the whole fucking off after one good season.

Actually I'm not even worried about the goals, he's playing at point for Arsenal. Even Chamakh managed 10 goals when he was starting regularly, the worry is more about him raising his overall game.
