Just read somewhere that Lampard needs only 14 more goals to become Chelsea's all time top scorer.
That's probably an indication of both, his great career and the shit history Chelsea have.
Nice gif.
Another week later and we still have as many league wins at Anfield in 2012 as Liverpool 😆
How long can this last?
Anyone has the gif or the clip of the Dutch Cunt elbowing Cabaye? There's talk of a 3-match ban.
It was nothing it wasn't an elbow he was just swinging his arms.
If he gets a 3 match ban, he'll miss the game against us unless they count the Capital one Cup game in the 3 matches.
They will, domestic bans take into account league cup games
Good. Unleash the Pong on him. That'd bee Deeeeench.
Howard Webb reviewed Robin Van Persie incident and didn't consider it to be act of violent conduct
This is surprising.
FA decide to take no action against van Persie's elbow on Cabaye and Huth's stamp on Suarez but will punish Ashley Cole for his tweet :gah:
Fuck off! Song was banned last season for stamping on Barton as was Balotelli.
Only saw one reply which wasn't very conclusive, but it still looked like he knew what he was doing.
Does anyone have a gif with a better angle?
It didn't look a goal from the replays and I guess the official could not have called it with certainty but the shot from above would seem to show that all of the ball was over the line.
That's a goal.
More favourable decisions for United. :gah:
Who was the ref again? yeah
Difficult to blame anyone when it is such a close call. What I think anyway.
Agree Rexy. Even on that birds eye view I cant be 100% sure that every last milimetre of the ball is over all of the line.
I'd argue that it's not based on that very poor image. There's no space between the ball and the line. I don't know, I like conservative referees as long as they're consistent. They're not supposed to hand out penalties, cards or goals unless they're absolutely sure.
That's the thing though Klaus. They're not consistent. I'm pretty sure if this happened at the other end when United are 2-0 down in a home game, Webb would've awarded a goal.
All of the decisions under discussion are somewhat difficult, contentious, or unsighted by the ref: they're close calls.
If they were clear cut why, then, refs couldn't favour United.
Good effort on the quasi-save by De Gea though.

No doubt about it, but if people are going to complain about referee mistakes they should take a minute or two to find out whether it's really a mistake to begin with. There are literally a ton of examples out there where United have been favoured wrongfully. I think it cheapens the valid criticism when people scream favoritism every time a decision goes Ferguson's way.
It's a bit like the way Luis Suarez is being treated by the media at the moment. Keown was bang on the other day. Suarez doesn't seem like a very agreeable person but what right does Tony Pulis have to condemn him for taking a dive when the Stoke defenders have pushed him around, raked his heels and aimed for his legs with illegal tackles all game? It's not a call for justice. It's vilification.
