RvP is better than him and has always been the bigger talent.
Rooney looked more complete last season because of the position he played and the role he had. RvP had to focus entirely on scoring because he was the only one in the squad capable of doing it. But his best role is the #10 one. In fact, he's probably the best #10 of his generation.
United are very, very lucky to have him. Talent like that doesn't come around too often.
