I heard that it's related to a suspicion that he's been responsible for feeding stories to the press , which given Mourinho's poisonous relationship with them, makes him a non starter.

It's the Portugese clique vs everyone else. Casillas is the rallying point for for the rest of Madrid and, indeed, their fans seeing as he's taken up Raul's mantle for club icon. It's been going on ever since Mourinho turned up at the club and it's not just Casillas either, Ramos, Benzema, Higuain all have grievances with Mourinho.

I'm not sure what Mourinho's trying to achieve but he's not going to last much longer.

What's really strange is that the Madrid board have thrown their weight behind Mourinho. Well, until he started benching Casillas anyway.
