Song, much like Hleb and co., is such a muppet for going to Barcelona and thinking he'd get serious playing time.
Don't care if its your dream to "play" at Barcelona....self respecting pros shouldn't want to sit on the bench of the world's best team over playing elsewhere.
But there's far more players than first team places in this professional sport. Should all players just sit where they are because they might not get into the first team of a top club? Why can't he have ambition?
He could be the new Mascherano and he gets plenty of game time. Of course we know he's just a squad player now but he's been there only 4 months or so.
True, and I know this isn't an opinion everyone buys into.
But when I look at the likes of Olsson, Brunt, and Morrison all committing to West Brom I'm impressed. Each of those players could move up to a better team and have a short stint from the bench.
But to be satisfied with your pay, and to want to be part of a team that is going somewhere is commendable.
