His comments were fair enough to be honest.

I am bitter Tony, the likes of Van Persie and Fabregas really shat on us supporters.

Biggus, firstly, Cesc had no obligation to stay with us (with RvP you could argue differently as we stuck by him through all his injuries).

Wenger failed Arsenal, not Cesc. Our former skipper could only do so much. What promises? Did he catergorically state he would stay with us for life?

All of our legends of the last 10 years have left (e.g Viera, Henry). What is the common denominator? All they cunts as well?

Would you have stayed at Arsenal under the same situation?

Its a moral issue when you invest in something you expect a return or at least the player to play through his prime years. Wenger invested in fabregas vp nasri etc but the return was minimal, those who take any blame off them i find are usually fans of the players. You could say Wenger could have done more during that period. Financially we got a good return buts that's more to do with wenger though

Nasri, I can understand.

With Van Persie and Fabregas, the club had the option of keeping on to them. We chose to sell. They might've wanted to go but right now, if the club were serious about winning the title, we could have had a team with Fabregas/Van Persie, Cazorla, Podolski, Arteta, Wilshere etc. and we would've had a real chance.

Ultimately the fault lies with the ambition of the club...because if Fabregas and Van Persie were forced to stay (or did want to stay), we wouldn't have bought Cazorla or Podolski. We want to do just about enough to stay in the CL qualification places. Anything more is a bonus.

But you didn't like Fabregas because of the football that we were forced to play with him. Our team was based around him and you didnt like it. In fact you mentioned that our football has become a little better since he left. Fair dos.

You didn't like RVP because he was always injured. "Fuck him" you said. He would probably be injured all the time at United. Fair dos.

So it shouldn't matter that they leave. They won't come back and either Wenger mismanaged the team or they were not good enough for us anyway. I think it's the former.

And at the end of the day, most clubs who are better than us and actually win trophies are detestable (to us). It seems people don't mind Madrid but only because the last time we faced them we beat them. If we kept losing to them like Barca then they would be just as detestable as United, Chelsea, Barcelona and to a lesser extent City (I actually quite like them though). I admit I was bitter at RVP to United but i've stopped now. No point.

In the Fabregas clips I posted yesterday Cesc said the passion wasn't there in his last season with us so he wanted to leave.

I'm not going to go on paper-hearsay. Do I think Flamini was fully committed to us and didn't intend to leave in his last season he put in fantastic performances? Do I think Van Persie was fully committed to us last season when he scored a shedload of goals? Players look out for themselves...and it's in their interests to play well. If the players are under contract, we are allowed to keep them, and they would want to play well.

I think they are going to affect the morale around the team if they are as important as RVP or Cesc around whom the team is built. The club is right in selling them and I still believe they were left with no choice.

On the contrary Fabregas had a contract and was obligated to stay with us, he was also happy to accept the captaincy and leadership of the team- Did he feel no obligation to the team and supporters.
Van Persie was a little different, his contract was running out and he was (presumably) willing to see it out so it wasn't his choice when he went.
It was however his choice where he went, and as another former captain he would be well aware of the feelings of us supporters about going to Utd and he chose to shit in our faces.

Wenger did fail Arsenal Alf you and I were among the first people to see that, but Fabregas and Van Persie also failed us by promising to lead failing to deliver and then cutting and running.
Fuck both of them they're in the Gallas category of loyalty as far as I'm concerned.
Not so with Vieira and Henry, they led they delivered and they earned their release with our blessing.

Of course I would stay at Arsenal (err provided I wasn't sacked for a major fall out with Wenger) I'm an Arsenal fan not like those other two lying pricks.
