They've tried to sign him for the last five or six years to be fair. He doesn't want to move. This was the 4th season in a row where he scored close to 30 goals across all comps. I don't think people appreciate how hard that is for a side like Udinese.

I heard he has a chronic knee injury. Can barely train between games. Dont know how true it is, but that was the reason given for him not being a fixture in the Italian team over the last 3-4 years.

Tim: I've heard that too. It's his right knee, I think. Not sure it's a chronic thing but he seems to pick up a lot of knee injuries. He's 35, though, and five inches shorter than most defenders he's up against. I don't think it helps.

Well placed free kick from Insigne gives Italy U21 the lead against England. Butland could have done better as he got a touch of the ball and the shot wasn't very powerful.

But, well deserved lead for Italy as they have clearly been better and have been denied a stonewall penalty.

His contribution has been immense, all things considered. I am not a regular Serie A watcher. I was aware he was scoring goals but even then 23 is very very impressive. I wouldn't have given him a chance at the beginning of the season to score 20+ at his age.

His movement is ridiculously good. Great effort from Udinese to get 5th. They lose a number of important players every season but manage to put a team together. Although they did look quite poor any time i saw them this season in comparison to the last few years.
