He was taking about Stevie and Sahin ceasing to have any impact due to a lack of fitness and match readiness though.

Thought it was alright, any tactical talk can be referred to as fluff if it suits you, bottom line it was more interesting and plausible than reading us talk tactics.

In Rodgers' case the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, but I agree Liverpool are an irritating club.

Anyway Rodgers didn't have much of an answer when faced with Diaby on the rampage, Podolski controlling the left wing and Cazorla's genius.
Could not even take advantage of the fact that we had Mannone in goal and Jenkinson at RB.

Rodgers is a good manager and will make 'Pool a decent side again, if he's given time.

They won't be a threat for us this season though. They just don't have the players.

Every manager in the League could sit there and impress a load of press muppets with tactics talk, even the likes of Pulis and Allardyce. Liverpool TV probably had long interviews with Dalglish with him explaining the bamboozling effect Stewart Downing has on opposition fullbacks or the wonderful way in which his very clever double-pivot in midfield gets the best out of Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam. All a load of fluff.

Liverpool are getting high up my list of clubs I really, really don't like once again. So fucking full of themselves.

Thing is, Harry Redknapp could sit there and impress the hell out of you with talk about the different parts of his team and how he sets them out. League 2 managers could as well. Not saying Ridgers isn't a good manager, just that he's doing nothing out of the ordinary there.

I'm sure all the top level managers know the game inside out and have grand plans to send their team to the top, the challenge is getting 11 men to buy into their vision and keeping the standard up week in, week out.

It's the fact that Redknapp is such a moron that I used him as an example. The vast majority of football managers can talk tactics, and all the intricacies of them, all day long. Even the ones that talk like muppets about everything else.

Picking on the small teams who dont have big sponsors just proves FFP is a false money making scheme. They get to hold back prize money from the small teams, thats the main aim of it all.

It proves that UEFA are starting to deal with THE major problem in club football. How far they are prepared to go is still up in the air.

If Platini pulls this off well, then I'll regard him as the savior of football. 🙂

The rules are the rules, but tactically speaking, applying penalties to these smaller clubs who will be more likely to submit than pursue extended legal action might well bring them on side when there are bigger fish to fry. After all, if they toed the line, shouldn't everyone have to?

FFP's an interesting one. It's going to slow things down a lot, and in odd ways, if implemented in its full glory.
