Wouldn't mind him if van Persie's off. Podolski, Giroud and Mirallas would provide decent depth up front.

Meh, not better than what we have outwide. He's average, that's from watching him at St Etienne.

He's the guy who made Cahill miss the Euros when he pushed him in the back eh? Top man!

Could only get through a minute of that video before I had to stop. Looked a rubbish player to me. Don't think he's a Wenger player at all.

I think that was Dries Mertens.

He does actually look a little rubbish
Why would we want him in particular?

Really hope that we're not grubbing around looking at this standard of player.
Full concentration on Llorente.
He's available and we should have the money, soon.

He's not rubbish - he's a bit raw but he has that ability to get at and commit defenders. Something which wenger clearly likes - hence gervinho.

He may not be rubbish, but that video doesn't do him any favours. Looks like a horrendous version of Ricardo Quaresma.

Yep he is already going to undergo a medical at Everton.

Don't mind missing out on him.

Dodged a bullet I reckon (he'll probably storm it now that I've said that 🙂).

for what its worth, his performance v england was very composed yet lively. dont think that youtube does him justice.

He's not for me, mate. Everton looks a good club for him, might do well there, but not for us.

As a side note, I'm well pleased for Moyes and Everton finally having some decent players to pick from. He's worked miracles over the years there, but talented attackers have proven too difficult for even Moyes to consistently bring to the club. Hopefully they can spend the Rodwell money wisely and invest a little more and give him a team that can actually do something in this League.

Talking of David Moyes, where's Caligula these days?

Moyes has always been hamstrung by a lack of forward options. At times it's looked as though he has managed to cobble together a few decent players but invariably they've been a let down through injury or form. I was surprised to see Cahill go, I don't think anyone would have expected that.

Yeah, dunno. Was thinking that myself - Cali disappeared around the end of last season. Maybe he decided to take the silly season off and actually followed through on it.

6 days later

Don't believe that's true personally.

Would make more sense to use Park.
