Currently watching Japan take on Spain, and the Japanese are more than holding their own. Winning 1-0, playing a very high paced, high work rate game.
Olympics (football)
Gets worse for the skyblue jersey wearing Spaniards. Inigo Martinez of Spain just got a red card for pulling down a Japanese player when he was through on goal.
Half time. One nil to Japan still.
1-0 Japan. Should've been 4 or 5. Very much deserved.

Olympics
it's a glimpse into the future Peps.
Gabon just earned their first Olympic point, drawing 1-1 with Switzerland.
Entertaining stuff from the Gabonese.
So you don't really rate the league cup that highly.
Hows this for a gaffe-

Ramsey doesn't even start for GB?
Brazilian team looking really good. Against a drab Egypt it must be said.
Neymar has been a constant threat, and has a goal to his name. Rafael (ManU) got the first goal, and Leandro scored the 3rd.
Oscar has been great.
Brazil dominating Egypt at the half, 3 - 0.
Egypt scramble one in. 3-1
Egypt pull another one back with 15 minutes to go.
Game on.
That Thiago silva looks shit
Ramsey the dud fucked up lost possession and Africa scored the equaliser
That same "dud" just had a good run to almost set up a goal.
Ramsey was as good as one possibly can be in a Stuart Pearce side...
Watched the Brazil game, so therefore only saw the last 20 minutes of the the Great Britain game. In those 20 minutes Ramsey was easily the best player on the pitch. Nice and tidy on the ball, and two outstanding runs, one on either flank.
That Neymar fella looks decent btw.

Yet his loss of possession straight after a corner led to the equaliser
Even though I don't like Ramsey, its fair to say that midfielders WILL lose possession. It has to happen. There's no way around it. Other team shouldn't be scoring because of it, though. That's more down to team shape. You've got to be able to deal with losing possession and not just say "well so-and-so shouldn't have lost the ball."
Disappointing to have let in that goal near the end but a loss would have been harsh on Senegal. It was a fairly typical as expected British team performance really. No real creativity or flair, just hoof it up to the big/fast guy. Senegal looked to have the better players pretty much all over the field.
Isn't it ridiculous to think that despite the incredible career Giggs has had, this is his first major international tournament?

Err Africa weren't playing.
