It is, that's why his name has been mentioned a lot recently. We could probably get him in January for less than 15m.

We need another striker. Don't think Giroud and Llorente are that similar fwiw.
We definitely need another striker, even if Giroud does improve. Even if Gervinho doesn't play himself out of the team again, he'll be ad ACON for a month in Jan, and who knows what sort of state he'll be in when he gets back.
However, I'm not sure Llorente would be my pick either. Someone a bit more mobile & good on the ball would be my preference, though I do think Llorente is a good player.

Would much rather someone of the Jovetic variety. There aren't too many around but he's the type of forward we ought to be looking at. I'm basing this on the fact that I believe Giroud will become at the very least a competent striker and a more silky player will afford us a greater number of options.
I think that Jovetic is the best of the players that's been tenuously linked with us. I don't know if there is anything in his current circumstances that would mean that we could get him for less than £20m though? (because I cannot see Wenger paying anything over that) With Llorente there's obviously the fact that his contract is up next summer. I'd guess Lopez would be more of a Theo replacement? Even though I saw it mentioned that Wenger almost ditched pursuit of Giroud this summer to switch his focus to Lopez. Can't say I remember reading much about it at the time.
Didn't Jovetic sign a new contract this summer. He'll go crazy money if at all and that just rules us out of the possible clubs he'll end up at.
Llorente would be a great buy. With his contract running out he would be quite easy to get as well if we are interested.
Na theirs a lot of interest, the strongest was from Juve. Unfortunately i think they got Bendtner on loan as a stop gap so they can sign this guy at a great price.

Llorente's second family name is Torres. Think that's what Sam was referring to.
