There has been quite a lot in the media over the past week suggesting that we're seriously interested in signing Lloris.
And apparantly L’Equipe are now reporting that we want to sign him.
Seems a bit odd to me that we would try to sign him now.

I don't like him.
If this is serious, I don't know what to think.
I love Szczesny. He gets a lot of leeway because he's so liked by the fans, but he simply wasn't good enough last season.
Signing Lloris would be pretty ruthless of Wenger.
Don't want him. Szczesny's the least of our problems right now, and of course he was good enough last season. He was better than the vast majority of the goalkeepers in this League.
dont want - spend the money on a playmaker
Won't make any sense, this transfer. We should be signing a backup for Szczesny, someone like Craig Gordon or Allan McGregor.
Unless the master plan is to play two keepers in games next season this makes bugger all sense.
Maybe this is like Vertonghen. A transfer that makes no sense for us, linked to us, before signing for Spurs? Maybe it's some sort of elaborate tactic to ingratiate themselves to nutty Spurs fans.
But seriously, this just wouldn't make sense.
And if Wenger really wasn't impressed with Szczesny in the euros that he needed a new number 1, Handanovic would make much more sense for 11m.
Watch Lloris in the links below. There are many other very very bad errors from him throughout the whole season, lazy to research but I regularly watch Lyon games and he is less than impressive. He almost lost his number 1 place to Mandanda before euro2012 as well. No doubt he is still young and can improve like De Gea to adapt to premierleague though but I am very skeptical.
As a potential signing this sounds cracked but I'm preparing myself to be staggered by our next moves in the transfer market.
Who knows what the plan is at this stage.
Hugo'll probably be hauling our new home kit over his head and standing in stocking feet as Robin is being unveiled in OT.
Wenger needs to get his fucking priorities right.
Personal terms agreed apparently.
Fee not decided yet.
The links on L'equipe are less than definite...
Would be such an odd signing, although objectively thinking about it, Lloris and Szczensy would be two fantastic keepers to boast of.
As long as this doesn't eat much into our transfer kitty it won't really matter.
This reminds me of the Sagna-Eboue situation.
Not identical but people were wondering why we wanted to sign Sagna because at the time Eboue was actually a good RB then Sagna turned up and everyone saw he was world class and we forgot all about Eboue.
I think the time for sentiment is gone, if we can get a better keeper then by all means go out and get him. I like Chesney but if Lloris is coming (I don't believe it) and he turns out to be world class then too bad for Chesney.
Can't see Szczesny being happy playing second fiddle and TBH I don't think Lloris is any better.
Szczesny isn't Eboue.
I said it reminds me of the situation and of course Chesney is a better keeper than Eboue was a right back.
I highly doubt there is any truth to this but if Lloris does turn up then Wenger doesn't have as much faith in Chesney as some people like to think.
Its all about priorities mate.
If we end up signing Lloris and nobody else I'd be livid. This money could easily be invested in areas which should take precedence over GK.
And this is nothing like the Sagna-Eboue situation. When we signed Bac, he was miles better than Eboue, more experienced even. Lloris although more experienced is only marginally better than Szczesny, if at all. Not to forget he'll be playing in a completely different league where he'll get battered by strikers week in week out. Atleast Szczesny has a years PL experience.
